Blog: Wiki So Far

In terms of my contributions on the class wiki so far, I have added a few paragraphs of content and uploaded an image. In addition to adding content directly, I have been gathering research on certain topics on the wiki that I want to further expand on. The page that I have edited is the New Media Food, Beverage and Hospitality Industry under the Amazon Go section. Under that section, I added a more detailed explanation of the technology and experience of the Amazon Go stores by providing specific details. I also edited the existing content by fixing the syntax, grammar and tense. Additionally I have also added an image for the New Media in Social Networking page to demonstrate the adverse impact that social media can have on one’s self image. File sharing is the sharing of digital information such as documents, files, images, video/audio, e-books and computer programs via the internet or network at various access levels. File sharing enables users to transmit data from one computer to another for easy access and efficient use. Popular examples of file sharing are Dropbox and Google Drive which allow users to upload files and be able to access it from other devices and collaborate with their peers. P2P (peer-to-peer) sharing is a controversial method of sharing that is facilitated through a peer to peer software.
